Manchester police urged residents in the city's North End to shelter in place on Saturday evening due to reported gunshots in the area.
The shelter-in-place order was issued around 6:30 p.m. and affected residents in the area of Union Street, Beech Street, and Auburn Street.
Police said they received multiple calls about shots fired in the area and were investigating the incident.
